All the women in my family sewed, knitted, crocheted, hand embroidered, cross stitched, or quilted. I was raised to appreciate the time, real effort, and love that goes into beautifully created handiwork. From sewing doll clothes as a child to growing into an avid sewist as an adult, I love to combine colors, prints, and fabrics, and then see my projects come to fruition. I hope you enjoy having them as much as I enjoy creating them. 

Be assured that all projects coming from my sewing studio have been made in a smoke-free, pet-free environment.

Please keep in mind that once work on a project has begun or is completed, there are no refunds or returns.  Shipping to or from The Straight Seam is at the customer's expense.  We will accept only washed and uncut shirts.  Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have at lori@thestraightseam.com.
